Sabrina

ok, i have posted the pics that my SF friend took when we went shopping. i'm still figuring out how to use Hello, so, be patient.

weekend was good. nothing exciting happened. boys played basketball, did laundry and cleaned house, and went to church. what an exciting life.

i have officially taken up knitting. so far so good. except i am a perfectionist and get a little impatient with myself. i am attempting to make a scarf. the yarn is gorgeous, cream color with silver thread.

have some office gossip to share. i am not one to gossip in the office, but i figure i could blog the gossip. there is one person in the office who is a stick in the mud. tradition around here is that when its your birthday you bring goodies to share. well, she doesn't. but when someone else brings treats, she pigs out. an example, i have a candy dish on my desk, i keep it filled all the time, usually with chocolate of some kind. everyone has been helping themselves, i have no problem with that, but they will also bring candy to replenish it. she on the other hand eats a ton and won't replenish. i kept track the other day (i know thats pathetic) she ate 12 hershey kisses. that irritates me. she is also the office tattle tale. if she catches you online, she tattles to the boss, if you are talking about something other than business, she'll tell you to stop. she is a pain!!!! keep in mind this woman is about 55+ years old. old bitty.

lunch time!

i am without topic to blog...hmmm...i don't know.

i need an idea for a list.

The Shop Around the Corner

gonna try this again. my other post didn't post. grrr...

i have been trying to post something a few times a week. i miss blogging and my blog friends.

the weekend was busy but nice. the boys have started to play basketball. that is now taking up our saturdays. i must say that i am impressed with how well my oldest can play. hes never played in league before but he does pretty well. my youngest on the other hand, lets just say, for him its organized play. hes just there to make friends and play around.

sunday was typical, church and some shopping with mom. i bought a new vaccuum, coffee pot and some new make up. exciting stuff, eh? it amazes how i get so excited over buying appliances. i also watched some movies over the weekend, Collateral and The Bourne Supremacy. both were great movies. tom cruise makes a good bad guy, and matt damon, well, i just like to look at him ;)

monday i went furniture shopping. *sigh* i love IKEA. i was going to meet SF friend for lunch, but his sister was visiting from out of town and couldn't make it. the weather was absolutely beautiful in the bay area. sunshine and blue skies. it wasn't fun driving back and seeing the fog loom over the valley.

6. learn to knit. already into 2005 and i am only on #6 for my list. anyways...i want to learn to knit. my mom has been knitting for 30+ years and enjoys it. i think i am going to check into taking a class though. i think we're too much alike and would probably get impatient with each other very quickly.

work is going well, ex is still an ass.

What Women Want

this was emailed to me today and thought i'd share....

Three women and three men are traveling by train to the Super Bowl.
At the station, the three men each buy a ticket and watch as the three women buy just one ticket. "How are the three of you going to travel on only one ticket?" asks one of the men. "Watch and learn," answers one of the women. They all board the train. The three men take their respective seats but all three women cram into a toilet together and close the door.
Shortly after the train has departed, the conductor comes around collecting tickets. He knocks on the toilet door and says, "Ticket, please." The door opens just a crack, and a single arm emerges with a ticket in hand. The conductor takes it and moves on. The men see this happen and agree it was quite a clever idea; so, after the game, they decide to do the same thing on the return trip and save some money. When they get to the station they buy a single ticket for the return trip but see, to their astonishment, that the three women don't buy any ticket at all!! "How are you going to travel without a ticket?" says one perplexed man. "Watch and learn," answer the women. When they board the train, the three men cram themselves into a toilet, and the three women cram into another toilet just down the way. Shortly after the train is on its way, one of the women leaves her toilet and walks over to the toilet in which the men are hiding. The woman knocks on their door and says, "Ticket, please."

I'm still trying to figure out why men ever think they are smarter than women!!!

Napoleon Dynamite

first off i must say that i watched Napoleon Dynamite over the weekend, and its a hilarious movie. a definite must see.

new job is still going very well. i am the support secretary (or administrative assistant) to the director of fiscal services. which means i do a lot of a/p and a/r for the school district. its definitely a busy job, but i enjoy it very much.

i have been thinking about something...can women and men be friends? i realize that hollywood has thought of this question, thats why theres When Harry met Sally. but in the real world, in reality is it possible? of course there is a reason i am asking.

on monday i am planning on doing some furniture shopping in the bay area and so i thought i would see if i could meet SF friend for lunch. i emailed him on tuesday and still haven't heard anything. do i call him now? again, i don't want to seem like i am stalking him. i don't expect a relationship from him, just friendship. and don't get me wrong the flirting is fun, but if thats all that is, then thats ok with me. having a friend that i can trust is more important to me right now then having an intimate relationship with a man.

so what do you think??

Jerry Maguire

i tried posting three times yesterday and no luck. gonna try right now. its gonna be short. i miss blogging. i miss posting. new job is keeping me extremely busy, but i enjoy it very much. the people i am working with are very nice. not a fake nice either. genuinely nice.

i hope everyone's new year was nice. mine was quiet. for the first time in thirteen years i didn't make til midnight. hmm, pretty pathetic.

gonna cut this one short. have lots to post. i will try tomorrow.
